Recruiting Smut – Why Recruiting and our Kids Deserve Better

Swedish NurseI love sexy! I love seeing my partner looking gorgeous as we are about to head off for those few date nights away from the children but SEXISM has no place in recruiting nor in business. As I was hunting for new interesting articles on recruiting I came across this advertisement from a Swedish hospital looking to hire hot nurses.

As a father of three girls I cringed. How could a professional institute like a hospital put together demeaning ads with scantily clad women while trying to recruit the best nursing talent. As a candidate, I would completely ignore this employer as a bunch of doddering old farts or sexist nuts. As a patient or potential patient I would fear for the quality of my care as the hospital seems more focused on looks than on the professional qualifications and skills of the candidates. As a publicity or branding stunt this will only attract a bunch of perverts and the wrong kind of traffic.

Whoever allowed this ad campaign to go through should be fired as soon as possible. It says a lot about the quality of recruiting and business professionals at this hospital if this is the most innovative campaign they could come up with.

Have your say, send an email to the hospital directly and let them know what you think of their so creative recruiting campaign at Södersjukhuset Hospital I just sent mine in please follow-up.
